Portraits for Parents, Toys for Tots

To kick off the 2006 Holiday Season, we would like to launch our first annual drive in affiliation with Toys for Tots!  The objective for this project is to donate either toys or money collected to the U.S. Marine Corps. Toys For Tots Organization.

As photographers, we have a great opportunity to give back to the children in our communities during this holiday season. There are many ways in which you and your studio can contribute.

While Toys for Tots coordinators organize, coordinate and manage the campaign, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate toys and money. Members of the community drop new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes positioned in local businesses between October and December 22. Marines have established close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies which are well-qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys.

Project Miles & Milestones

Our current Project, Miles & Milestones™ is to provide sessions and print packages to families that are separated from their children due to respectful situations beyond their control.  So many parents, for reasons beyond their control, are missing out on their children's births, first steps, and other once-in-a-lifetime milestones.  Seemingly insignificant everyday moments we so often take for granted are painfully out of reach for mothers and fathers.

Launched in May, 2004 by the International Guild of Children's Photographers (www.igocpinc.com), this Project has been greatly received by our communities!

Session availability and print packages vary from each participating Registered Member of IROCP.com.  If you are a family that would qualify for this Project, please visit our Photographer Registry to locate a participating member near you.  Please note that it is not a requirement for all Registered Members to participate with Projects of IROCP.com.  It is at the discretion of each Registered Member.
